HD High Definition or UHD Ultra High Definition can typically reduce the camera quantity as they can cover a larger area in more detail, with more pixels the clearer the image allowing you to identify the vehicle or person, using IP technology allows the camera footage to remain secure, high quality and is able to be transmitted via other IP devices securely (IP Data link or WAN/LAN ), it also allows greater flexibility as  what was once a single network cable for one camera could be used as a uplink data for multiple cameras in the future.

With a so many cameras available Technical Services will advise the best type of cameras for the scenario for example if you have an unmanned control room or security desk then a full Pan Tilt & Zoom Camera may not be the best choice and you would be better suited to fixed cameras or a Multisensor camera which will cover the scene 24/7 365.
