PTZ Camera

Pan Tilt Zoom Cameras are probably the most common type of camera in live control room environments where operators physically move and adjust the camera, combined with powerful optical zoom typically 30x-50x there is no comparison against a high Mega Pixel fixed image. Optical Zoom wins all the time.

The PTZ Cameras also have built in Presets Auto tour – smart tracking and Image stabilisation benefitting when on full zoom 12m in the air on a windy day, the cameras can rapidly move into position and even be in focus before they arrive at the pre-set position.

However you have to remember that the PTZ Camera can only look one way at a time and if they are left pointing in the wrong direction, then vital evidence can be missed.

As an add on the PTZ Camera they can be linked via direct Alarm or software inputs to trigger the Camera into position on detection from another fixed camera giving your Pan Tilt zoom Camera the “eyes and ears” when unmanned.
