CCTV Networks
How will my cameras pictures get back ?
We specialise in both Copper, Fibre Optic, PTP (Point to Point) & MPTP (Mulit Point to Point) Radio Data Links using 5Ghz or 60Ghz. Here are several solutions:
Copper coax
If your existing CCTV system has copper coax cable in place, our experts will advise you on the best solution whether to use ethernet over coax converters, HD over Coax Cameras or replace the coax cable for a new Cat5e or 6 Ethernet cable.
We will always advise a cost effective solution but some times a new Ethernet cable will be the best choice.
If you already have Cat5e or 6 in place with analog cameras & video baluns then this is good news, as we can use this cable to feed one or multiple IP cameras.
FIBRE OPTIC
If distance is a problem and ducts are in place, the next obvious choice would be a Fibre Optic Cable.
For the majority of installs we would use Multi-mode OM3 or OM4 Fibre which give us speeds of 1Gb at 2KM
For harsher environments we use CST (corrugated Steel Tape)
Any further we would switch to a Single Mode Fibre Optic if higher speeds and distances are required.
Fibre Optic OS1 OS2 OM1 OM2 OM3 OM4 are a great choice as they are not subject to interference from High Voltage line or mains switching etc, they are extremely reliable and durable when installed correctly, we have fibre installation installed since late 2000’s and it still performs as it did when installed.
We carry out our own Fibre Termination using Fusion Splicing for optimum performance, we can also carry out fibre repairs on damaged cable.
IP DATA links
If there are no ducts in place then IP Data links either PTP or PTMP (Radio links) are the next solution, we have hundreds of IP Data Links running CCTV images wirelessly around sites, delivering a robust CCTV infrastructure.
Typically, a normal link would be capable of 400Mbps throughput which is perfectly adequate for batch of cameras, however where a complete back haul link is required true 1Gbps are available.
The equipment Technical Services uses are normally licence free to the end user and operate in 5Ghz Band B or C or 60Ghz. Should we need to use Band A we use an OFCOM Fixed Access Point Licence to register the units.
